8080 Grand is believed to be the last factory building in downtown Dexter. It was built in the late 1940’s and used for many years as a powder coating facility. Other buildings, in what was the industrial district, have been demo’d and the zoning changed to village commercial. The industrial park is now outside of downtown.

The building was gutted to a shell. Then, restored to its former glory during 2016 to 2019. The windows that were once blocked to half their size or completely walled off have been opened using the original lintels and shapes. The beam that spans the ceiling from front to rear has been stripped, sanded and refinished in the Golden Gate bridge color, International Orange. I-Beam steel channel awnings built by the Cox Brothers were added over the doors while high-end glass garage doors complete the industrial vibe.
